Terms of service
Effective Date: 08/10/2025
These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and our WordPress-related services (“Services”). By submitting a form or engaging with WP Expert, you agree to these terms.
1. Services Provided
WP Expert offers professional WordPress design, development, maintenance, support, and related services for business clients in New Zealand and abroad.
All services are quoted and confirmed before work begins.
2. Quotes & Agreements
After you submit a form or enquiry, we will review your requirements and provide a quote or proposal.
No work commences until you approve the proposal in writing (email is sufficient).
Custom projects may require a separate service agreement.
3. Payment Terms
We currently do not accept online payments through this website.
Payment methods and terms (such as bank transfer or invoice schedule) will be set out in your quote or invoice.
Late payments may incur interest or service suspension.
4. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information about your business and website, and to supply any necessary materials (content, images, access credentials, etc.) in a timely manner.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your own content unless covered under an active Maintenance plan.
5. Service Availability & Limitations
We aim to deliver reliable and timely support, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of your website or hosting services.
All reasonable care will be taken to prevent issues and respond promptly when they occur.
6. Intellectual Property
All work produced by WP Expert remains our property until full payment is received.
Upon payment, ownership of the completed website or deliverables transfers to you unless otherwise agreed in writing.
WP Expert may display the project in its portfolio for promotional purposes.
7. Confidentiality
We treat all client information and website data as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except as required to provide the Services or by law.
8. Limitation of Liability
While we take care to deliver quality and secure solutions, WP Expert is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our Services.
Our total liability will not exceed the fees paid for the specific service causing the claim.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate an ongoing service agreement by providing written notice (subject to the minimum term outlined in the plan or proposal).
Outstanding balances remain payable upon termination.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
